StonkSurfer is a free browser game built on one simple, slightly ridiculous idea: a stock chart is basically a wave, so why not surf it?
The chart is the wave
Every trading day, millions of people stare at jagged green-and-red charts going up and down. StonkSurfer flips that on its head. Instead of analyzing the chart, you ride it. Pick a ticker — AAPL, TSLA, GME, BTC-USD — and the real shape of that market chart becomes the wave under your board. The pumps are ramps, the dips are troughs, and a crash is a very real way to wipe out.
Inspired by Stonk Rider
StonkSurfer is inspired by Stonk Rider, the original "ride the stock chart" game where market charts turn into Line Rider-style motocross terrain. We loved the idea so much we wanted a surfing spin on it — same playful "the market is the track" spirit, brand-new wave to carve. Full credit to Stonk Rider for the concept; StonkSurfer is an independent, unaffiliated tribute.
Built to just work
StonkSurfer runs entirely in your browser with no download and no sign-up. Each wave is generated deterministically from its ticker, so a given chart always rides the same way — fair for chasing high scores, and reliable because it never depends on a flaky live data feed. It works on desktop, Chromebook and mobile.
Just a game
To be totally clear: StonkSurfer is entertainment. It is not a trading tool and not financial advice. You are not trading real money, and surviving a chart in StonkSurfer says nothing about what any stock will actually do. It is just a fun, fast way to ride the market wave.
